Home to 122 Federal and New York State Superfund sites, hazardous waste and its management has been a structural underpinning to the development of Niagara County’s landscape. Love Canal, July 12th, 2019 returns to the county’s — and the country’s— first Superfund site. The work addresses the traces waste leaves in the visible world and the architectures designed to re-naturalize it, thereby disturbing the ground under which some of the country’s most toxic substances are contained.

This work is included as part of the digital exhibition, Terrapin Tower (2021). Additionally, this film was included in the exhibition IGNITION ‘16 (2020) at the Leonard & Bina Ellen Gallery in Montréal, QC.
